Pre-Departure & Travel Advice

Travelers departing from Cape Town International Airport (CPT) can connect to Entebbe International Airport (EBB) via Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, RwandAir, or Emirates, usually transiting through Addis Ababa, Nairobi, or Kigali. The full travel time averages 8–12 hours depending on layovers. It is highly recommended to arrive in Entebbe a day before the safari officially starts to rest and adjust after your international flight.

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

You depart early from Entebbe or Kampala and travel west toward Kibale Forest National Park. The scenic drive passes through rural countryside, tea estates, and rolling hills as the landscape gradually becomes more forested. Arrival at your lodge is in the afternoon, allowing time to relax and prepare for chimpanzee trekking the following day.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest

After an early breakfast, you proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest with experienced guides. Once located, you observe their social behavior, vocal communication, and movement through the forest canopy.
