Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

You depart early from Entebbe or Kampala and travel west toward Kibale Forest National Park, passing through rolling countryside, tea plantations, and small towns along the way. The journey offers a gradual transition from urban surroundings to forested landscapes. Arrival at your lodge is in the afternoon, allowing time to relax and prepare for chimpanzee trekking the following day.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest

After an early breakfast, you proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest with experienced guides. Once located, you observe their social interactions, vocal communication, and movement through the canopy. The afternoon is free for rest or optional activities such as a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

The trek duration varies depending on terrain and gorilla movement, making each experience unique.
