Overview: 5 Days Uganda Gorilla & Chimp Safari
This five-day Uganda gorilla and chimpanzee safari is designed for travelers who want to experience the country’s two most iconic primate encounters within a short yet well-paced journey. Combining chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest with mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the itinerary moves through contrasting ecosystems, from open farmland and crater lakes to dense, ancient rainforest. The safari balances active trekking days with scenic drives and restful lodge stays, ensuring the experience feels immersive rather than rushed.
Uganda’s primate diversity makes this route especially rewarding, offering insight into two closely related but distinctly different species and habitats. Accommodation is selected for comfort and proximity to trekking points, reducing transfer times and allowing more energy to be reserved for the primate experiences themselves. This safari is ideal for travelers seeking depth, variety, and encounters that leave lasting memories.
