The full travel time averages 8–12 hours depending on layovers. It is highly recommended to arrive in Entebbe a day before the safari officially starts to rest and adjust after your international flight.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you are met by your professional driver-guide and welcomed to Rwanda. After a short briefing, you begin the scenic drive north toward Volcanoes National Park, passing through rolling hills, rural villages, and cultivated countryside. Arrival at your lodge is in the afternoon, with time to relax, enjoy the cool mountain air, and receive a detailed briefing on gorilla trekking procedures and conservation guidelines.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
This day is dedicated to one of Africa’s most profound wildlife encounters. After an early breakfast, you report to the park headquarters for registration and allocation to a habituated mountain gorilla family. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you trek through bamboo forest and montane vegetation in search of the gorillas. Trek duration varies, but the reward is an intimate hour spent observing gorilla families in their natural habitat. You return to the lodge in the afternoon for rest and reflection.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest
